You can purchase a Do-It-Yourself Kit for an indoor court system from your local XGrass representative. Every indoor court kit includes:

  • Tiles with pre-painted game lines
  • Instructions for assembly
  • A number to call if you need help

Just keep in mind that your court needs a concrete slab underneath, be it an indoor roller hockey court, indoor soccer court, indoor badminton court or indoor paddle tennis court.

If you do not have an indoor court concrete slab prepared for your indoor basketball court, roller hockey court or tennis court, contact a local concrete contractor that can provide one. This is the only way to ensure that your indoor volleyball court, badminton court, paddle tennis court and soccer court will be installed for optimal safety and performance.

If you have any trouble with the indoor court installation, contact your local representative for help.

How does the ball bounce on XGrass tennis court surfaces?
A: Our indoor tennis court and outdoor tennis court surface enhances ball bounce. Key to this design element in our outdoor and indoor tennis court construction is tile flatness and size. Whether you build a new court or simply need outdoor or indoor tennis court resurfacing or repair, the ball bounce is impressive.

At 10.13″ x 10.13″, our tennis court tiles are smaller than competitor designs. The smaller the tile, the better it conforms to the subsurface for a truer ball bounce.

What sets XGrass Court Tile apart from your competitors?
Our court tiles represent dedication to innovation, quality and service. This sets us apart from the competition when it comes to outdoor and indoor court tile applications.

Our tile has 16 injection points and a 6-point locking system, this provides for a flatter, better performing surface that is critical for court construction. Our residential and commercial courts also incorporate “reverse spring tension” to lessen stress on joints.

Are XGrass Court Tiles slippery when wet?
XGrass court tile can be a little slippery when wet. That’s why we have a super grip surface design for our basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, shuffleboard courts, pickleball courts, badminton courts, roller hockey courts, paddle tennis courts and more. Whether it’s backyard courts at home or a commercial court for the community, XGrass tiles are safe.

What are the measurements of your indoor and outdoor court tiles?
Our outdoor court tiles are ¾-inch thick and 10.13″ x 10.13″, while our indoor court tiles are ½-inch thick and 9.81″ x 9.81″. Expect peak performance on our residential and commercial courts thanks to “reverse spring tension”.

Will extreme cold harm XGrass outdoor court tiles?
Our outdoor court tiles cannot be harmed by extreme cold. In fact, our outdoor courts have been brittle tested to minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit! So if you want to build a court in a cold climate, XGrass can help with our court tile surfacing.

What kind of subsurface do I need for a XGrass basketball court?
Your basketball court performs best when installed over a concrete or asphalt subsurface. However, your basketball court can also be installed over a level, compacted stone base. Whether it’s a backyard basketball court or inside full basketball court, the proper subsurface will ensure your quality basketball court flooring construction.

Mulch

Q: Why should I choose XGrass Mulch products over the other engineered wood fiber or rubber nugget products?
A: XGrass offers a Total Service Promise, Warranty, and our IPEMA Certification.

Q: What are the major differences between loose-fill and unitary surfacing?
A: Loose-fill surfacing has a lower initial cost and requires frequent maintenance. Unitary surfacing has a higher initial cost and requires infrequent maintenance.

Q: Are XGrass Rubber Nuggets for playgrounds ever dusty or slippery?
A: No. In addition to promoting almost instantaneous drainage, XGrass Rubber Nuggets retains small amounts of moisture, which is just enough to prevent the accumulation of dust and slipperiness

Q: Why blow-on installation?
A: Blow-on Installation is the most advanced practice to have mulch and soil installed. There are many reasons why this service stands above all others, the most important being price! Take into consideration the time it takes to manually spread your mulch. Manual spreading of 60 cubic yards can take more than a day to install with an installation crew. When you use a blow-on crew to install the same amount, it can be completed in two to three hours.

Q: What is a subsurface and do I need one?
A: A proper subsurface provides a stable base for the playground safety surfacing. The subsurface is usually concrete, asphalt, or compacted aggregate. Loose-Fill surfacing does not require a substantial base, while unitary surfaces may fail prematurely without a proper subsurface.

Q: Why use mulch for commercial landscapes?
A: Mulch can be a miracle worker when used properly. Some of its many benefits include:

  • Conserves the soil’s moisture by reducing evaporation.
  • Reduces competition of water from turf grass and other plants.
  • Insulates the ground from extreme temperature changes. Mulch keeps the soil cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
  • Suppresses the growth of weeds.
  • Slows or prevents erosion by reducing run-off and makes it difficult to dislodge soil.
  • Improves soil quality. Provides nutrients for the soil as it breaks down and even improves the soil texture.
  • Gives the ground a protective buffer from landscaping equipment (ie: commercial mowers and string trimmers). This protective covering keeps these machines from compacting the tree’s soil and also from breaking roots.
  • Makes over-all landscaping easier to maintain.
  • Aesthetically pleasing. Mulch can enhance landscape designs and accentuate the colors of plants.
  • Offers a cost-effective alternative to permanent groundcovers, such as cement, track flooring, etc.

Q: How often do I need to re-apply mulch to my commercial landscape?
A: Depending on the depth of the previously applied much, environment or amount of foot-traffic the mulched area is susceptible to, mulch manufactured by XGrass will generally only need to be re-applied once a year. Some manufacturers recommend re-application of their products every six months. As mulch fades, rake off the first layer of mulch to expose the “fresher” mulch below it or blend the weathered mulch with the more vibrant lower layers.
